In the Equine world, no one knows everything. Even the most educated and well taught trainers and vets would be honest and say that they don’t know everything.
Equines are highly every changing animals just as humans. Everyday is a new experience and new learning.
There is so much to a horse than knowing where to keep it (you eventually will switch places for various reasons), what vet you will use (which sometimes you will switch vets for various reasons) and farriers for various reasons.
Just because your parents make enough doesn’t mean they should have to buy and pay monthly for it.
How about you begin saving and showing responsibility by earning money to go towards this horse.
You most likely will have to do what I did at age 10.
I cleaned stalls to work off some of my board. I turned horses out and brushed them to earn some cash to go towards trimmings and hay. For horse shows, I would save money from x-mas and birthdays.
Since I wanted responsibility of having a horse, I also had to be responsible to be an owner!
Riding and owning are two different things. Those who ride other people’s horses doesn’t mean they are yet qualified to be an owner.
You need to get educated on a lot of Equine injuries, diseases, and training. No horse is exactly alike. How you ride one horse, you can’t ride another the same way.
Do you know what purpura haemorrhagica is? (almost lost my mare twice as it got so bad and really opened my eyes to what $$$ and time, education, patience is all about).
Colic, symptoms of colic and treatment?
What about an ill mannered, rearing or green horse how to break/ride ?
There is so much and right now, how about you try to have a horse leased to you and start from there.
If your parents say no, that is a sign you are not ready yet.

They must have given you more reasons than "no" and you conveniently left that part out. Do you have a barn or large shed? Do you have a pasture and proper fencing. Where would you ride? Do you live in the country where maybe there would be the threat of cougars, bears or wolves? Maybe your parents like to travel with you in which case who would take care of the horse? It is a big commitment to feed, water, groom, cleaning manure, riding, etc. Perhaps they want you to spend the time on school work and have a social life. I don’t think it’s about money either but sit down a see if all parties can agree on the life style change. Remember you can’t always get what you want when you want it but you just might find, you get what you need. It’s good to have goals and dreams but this might not be the right time and you still have a long life to realize those dreams. Good Luck and don’t get your nose out of joint if you still can’t get that horse.References :
There is much more to keeping a horse than just having enough money. It also requires alot of time and commitment not just from you, but also from your parents. I’m not sure what you mean when you say you "have loaned 2 times". Perhaps you can part-board a horse for a while. This requires less of a commitment of both money and time and might be easier for your parents to manage. It would also show your parents how interested you are and how responsible you can be.
You need to negotiate with your parents about this situation. That means that you may need to give up something to get something.
I have been working with horses for well over 30 years, and I definitely do not "know everything". There is lots to learn and lots of ways to learn. References : http://www.annegage.com
1) You don’t know EVERYTHING.
2) You’re only 10?!? Horses are a BIG responsibility.
3) It’s up to your parents. References :
Well I know a girl in the same situation as you and she just keeps begging and begging but it just annoys her parents more and she won’t get anywhere. Anyway, I also used to be in the same poisition as you too. Except now I have a lovely mare hehe. I got my parents to say yes because we found some stables that are cheaperish and I showed them how resposable I am. I am 13 now and got a horse when I was 12. Maybe you need to take a little more lessons or lease a horse for a while and mature more for you to be ready…. Horse are a big responsilbility and they aren’t cheap.References : I own a horse
well my xdad wouldn’t let me have 1 either so he made me get a donkey fist to make sure i was responsible then he got me a horse so just try being really responsible and now that i have 1 we moved to a different state and my mom wouldnt bring my horse with us so 4 this christmas i asked if she would bring her and she said yes or u can get a job so u can pay 4 it. i have a job with race horses and im 12 so try 1 of those or all of those hope i helpedReferences :
Tell them a horse would teach you responsilbilty, confidence, ect. and give some reasons behind why it worked on my parentsReferences :
